5. Appear for JEE Mains Exam
To get admission in IITs the JEE
Mains Exam is the first national-level exam that you have to pass with very
high marks a secure a good rank in this exam. JEE Main examination is conducted
by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in India two times every year in January
and April months.
The Joint Entrance Examination
(JEE Main) has two papers. The first paper is for admission to Undergraduate

the second or final entrance test that you have to pass for admission to the IITs.
You can appear for the JEE (Advanced) exam if you have a minimum cut-off score
in the JEE Mains exam.
You have to pass JEE Advanced
exam with very high marks to get the All India Rank (AIR). You can give this
exam only two times so must pass this with high marks.

Obtaining a good All India Rank
(AIR) in JEE Advanced is the final qualification to get admission in IITs.

Joint Seat Allocation is a
counseling process where AIR rank-holding students have to participate to take
admission in IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other Government funded technical
Institutes. This process is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority
(JoSAA). In this procedure, students have to fill in their choices of IIT and
